gimpunk:

There are enough terrible bigots compared to blogs on Tumblr dedicated to social justice and political correctness that I haven’t gone a day without seeing at least one argument on my dash. I’ve noticed, though, that there is a distinct difference between different types of isms.

Ableism annoys me more than almost anything else. So many other types of discrimination have campaigns and awareness, yet people are actually encouraged to mock disabled people….. It’s disgusting. My Dad fights it in public, going on demonstrations, getting involved with councils but young people can (and should) fight it on the internet. Stuff said there filters into real life and can make a difference. So, I’m following ‘cripple’ and ‘retard’ now, actually didn’t realise you could use tags for this purpose, great idea, although, not looking forward to future rage….
